June 2, 2015 Operation L&P, Lake County Sex Sting gets 22 Traveling to Meet a Minor / To Catch a Predator type cases
Polk County Sheriff says "This was a warning and a message that we are after these types of people with a vengeance," Judd said. "If we didn't get you in this operation, you better be sure we will in the next one. We are after you. Leave our children alone."
The attorneys with The Adams Law Firm have been defending people caught in sex sting operations for the last three years, including Traveling to meet a minor decoy sting operations. Law enforcement regularly use illegal methods to endure otherwise law abiding citizens to travel for the purpose of having sex, often times with what they believe is a consenting adult. Sometimes this inducement rises to the level of entrapment, which is a legal defense to the charge and must be asserted.
Most people caught in these traveling cases will score mandatory prison time, and the state attorney's office will be seeking prison along with sex offender registration requirements. We recommend you hire experienced competent counsel to help fight these charges. Call the Adams Law Firm for a free consultation on Florida Traveling or other sex sting charges. According to local news reports and official records with the Volusia County Clerk of Court, more than 20 local, state and federal agencies wrapped up the operation Saturday night, and it was no coincidence that the sting took place during Bike Week in Daytona Beach.
"The amount of it going on is really scary, and sad that there are people out there that are trying to take advantage of the children," said Volusia County Sheriff Ben Johnson.
"We thought it might be a good time," Johnson said. "A lot of people in town."
Of the 43 arrested, 22 men were caught on camera approaching a decoy house where a team of undercover officers were waiting for them.
Officials said illegal sex trade in the area is common for special events. The prostitution portion of the operation yielded 19 arrests.

April 11, 2014. Operation Guardian catches 12 men Jacksonville law enforcement say were looking for sex with a minor
by Josh Adams
Jacksonville law enforcement, along with other assisting agencies have just finished a "to catch a predator" style sting, which resulted in the arrest of 12 men who showed up at the decoy house, according to law enforcement, looking for sex with a minor.
The men responded to ads on the internet and after chatting with undercover law enforcement, travelled to a house where law enforcement were waiting to arrest them.
Instead 12 men ranging in age from 19 to 52 were arrested on charges of using the Internet to solicit or lure a child after a multi-agency Internet sting, labeled Operation Guardian, attracted them, then captured them, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
These stings usually border on entrapment, where unsuspecting adult male originally seek sex with adult
women on adult websites. After law enforcement gets the mark hooked, they mention that the decoy is
a minor, usually between 13-15. Sometimes it's not clear whether the suspects were ever aware
the decoy was underage.
Most of the suspects will be charged with at least one 2nd degree felony punishable by 15 years prison and requiring registration as a sex offender for life.
March 25, 2014: "Operation SafeNet in Seminole County result in 26 arrested"
Seminole County Sheriff's Office in Central Florida has arrested 26 people over the weekend in another operation targeting people looking for sex on the internet. As part of the operations, undercover law enforcement post on adult websites posing as adults looking for sex. Once they get a response, they start pushing underage sex on the responding mark. Sometimes the mark is into it, sometimes they show no interest in underage sex. Either way, when they arrive at the decoy house, they are arrested and charged with serious felonies that will possibly send them to prison for several years and leave them as designated sexual offenders.

"Operation Be Mine: 22 arrested in Lake County child sex sting"
Lake County Sheriff Deputies, acting along with other local agencies, arrested 22 people in February 2014, after posting on adult websites where adults post offering sex. Typically, you must agree that you are an adult to post on these websites and initial ads make no mention that the poster is underage. It's only once the mark bites that the decoy mentions a factitious age and does everything they can to get the mark to agree to come to the decoy house, where they are arrested and charged with crimes that could put them in prison for many years and have them labeled as sexual predators.

Florida Traveling to Meet a Minor Stings:
Sheriff Departments across Florida are are setting up sting operations using decoy agents pretending to be minors and relatives of minors seeking sex. They do this using adult websites with headings that give no indication that the decoy is a minor or is offering sex with a minor. They find adults looking for sex over the internet then lure them to a decoy house. When the target arrives, he/she is arrested and charged with offenses that will possibly result in several years prison and permanent registration as a sexual predator.
